Real estate in wealthy and prestigious Ansley Park, Atlanta, is in great demand and also expensive. However, once you have purchased a home here, then you know you have made it in Atlanta.
It was in 1904 that the district, a vision of Edwin P. Ansley, along with a few other prominent entrepreneurs of Atlanta, came to be. A large area between midtown Atlanta and Buckhead was developed to create it, and Ansley Park is now widely considered as the best-heeled part of the city. Housing the wealthiest and most prestigious families of Atlanta, Ansley Park is located north of Midtown and west of Piedmont Park.
This is also one of the first neighborhoods of Atlanta that was designed to accommodate automobiles. The roads were created wide and winding, as opposed to the characteristic grid pattern that was prevalent during that time. Moreover, the area has been declared a Historic District by the National Registry of Historic Places, and it still retains its original character, forming as it does an oasis amidst Atlanta's hustle and bustle.
A special mention needs to be given to the Ansley Park Civic Association: its sincere efforts have forged strong bonds between the residents of the Ansley Park community, not to forget the impeccable maintenance of all its parks and greenery. The town is skirted with tree-lined streets, the residential neighborhood being bounded by Fourteenth Street's hotels and apartment buildings at the southern part, Piedmont Park's 150 acres and the Atlanta Botanical Garden to the east, and a residential community called Sherwood Forest to the north. Shades of Robin Hood here!
Ansley Park has come a long way from being a desolate suburb in its initial phase to the fashionable joint it was in the 1920s, through the lean period of World War II which experienced a housing crunch, and eventually to the resurgence of real estate in the 1960s which has continued to the present day. Up to now, the prices of homes in Ansley Park have been rising more rapidly than most other neighborhoods in Atlanta, and little wonder when you gaze upon their design and size: the real estate here is truly something to see and something to desire.
Through the decades, much time and money were contributed towards the development of the aesthetic appeal of Ansley Park's, especially after the establishment of the Ansley Park Beautification Foundation. Today, Ansley Park boasts of social events such as the Pall Barbecue, the Christmas Tree sale, the Garden Club's Easter Egg Hun, and the Spring Fling, which draw people from all over Atlanta and beyond.
All in all, Ansley Park symbolizes variety, harmony and radiance. The very special feeling of belonging to a proactive community is the thing that makes living in Ansley Park so special.

When planning your trip to the Disneyland Resort in California, sometimes it makes sense to book your lodging separately. Oftentimes, you can find some good "room only discounts", especially during the off- peak seasons. Here are some of the places to look for lodging discounts.
The Disneyland Resort website sometimes has specials for their three on-site resort hotels or for the Disneyland "Good Neighbor" hotels. (To get to the website, just google Disneyland Resort). Depending on the time of year, there are often discounts available. These "room only" discounts can range from 15% to 30% off of one of their hotels. Other possible offers are "buy a certain number of nights lodging and the next one or maybe two nights are free". Depending on Disneyland's hotel occupancy forecasts, sometimes they'll even extend these discounts to include dates during their peak seasons. The added advantage of staying in one of Disneyland's Resort hotels or "Good Neighbor" hotels is that many are within a 5 to 10 minute walk to the theme parks, so you also save on theme park parking fees.
Senior discounts are usually available for ages 60 and over based on availability. Discounts can be as high as 30% off of a room at the Disneyland Resort or "Good Neighbor" hotel. Seniors may even be able to book up to two rooms at this discounted rate. A valid photo ID is required at hotel check-in. Call Disneyland Resort Reservations at 1-714-956-6425 for more information.

Hotel Industry "room only" discounts are sometimes available to people who work for a U.S. or international hotel. To check on a possible discount call Disneyland Resort Reservations at 1-714-956-6425. Proof of current hotel employment will be required upon check-in.

ARES Travel is a reliable travel agency that specializes in Disneyland Resort lodging and tickets. Visit their website or contact them directly at 1-800-680-0977. Be sure to ask about their cancellation policy and fees before booking.

hotel in lakeland

Because the Lake District has so many good hotels it's hard to choose a few to recommend. Yet some stand out by virtue of their quality, their location, and their unique blend of luxury and location.
Our first choice is located a few hundred feet above perhaps the most beautiful lake in Britain - Windermere. This small gem of a hotel is The Samling.
This remarkable hotel is set in sixty-seven beautiful acres of its own grounds. The Samling describes itself as a luxury hotel in the country (not as a "country house hotel"). To offer luxury like this, with fine wines and a great cellar, outside a major connurbation, is a great achievement. But what we like most about the Samling is the service: it's that kind of quiet and efficient service which seems to meet your needs almost before you are aware of them!
But there are other gems in Lakeland. One we especially like is Gilpin Lodge. While it's probably not quite true to say that the food and wine are the most impressive things about this hotel, they do form one of its greatest attractions! With so many respected awards, a Michelin star, and a long line of experience, the owners, the Cunliffe family, know how to bring the finest style and quality to this corner of Lakeland. As far as the accommodation is concerned, the elegant and luxurious suites offer private hot tubs and outdoor areas, and the rooms have king sized beds. Total luxury, and perfect for exploring the southern Lake District.
For a family oriented experience, or a luxury holiday for a couple, you could hardly do better than the Langdale Hotel and Country Club. Langdale is really a country estate, offering a whole range of accommodation in a private woodland park criss-crossed with streams and tarns, and local flora and fauna.
In the nineteenth century the Langdale estate was a gunpowder works, a factory built here because it was remote and less dangerous in the event of an explosion. Nowadays that remoteness is one of the great features - in the heart of the Langdale valley, you are close by some of the Lakes' greatest walks.
The atmosphere is relaxed, the accommodation luxurious. There's a conventional hotel, as well as comfortable wooden lodges, spread out in a pleasant village-style layout, making a total of 57 en-suite luxury rooms, elegantly and very tastefully furnished.

hotel in tampa florida

I recently made a trip to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Tampa and I must say I was impresses. The Hard Rock is located right off interstate 4 which makes it easy to get to from all areas around Tampa Bay. They have 2 huge parking garages and 1 parking lot to accomodate their visitors. They also offer valet service for a fee which is not a bad idea on busy night.
Upon arrival, I entered the South parking garage which is the newest garage and I quickly found parking. When I entered the casino I was amazed at how massive and modern the place was. I definately felt like I was in Las Vegas with what seemed like thousands of slot machines with their fancy lights and sounds.
The Hard Rock Casino has a really awesome center bar with a tower of flat screen tv's that can be viewed from any spot in the bar. The center bar is staffed by a haanfull of beautiful bartenders wearing really short leather shorts. The center bar is a real classy place to take a break from the slots or card games. Another unique bar is located off to the side of the casino floor near the gift shop. This is a trendy and laid back bar with comfy sofa chairs and live music.
When it comes to dining, the Hard Rock gives you more choices than you would expect. You can grab a quick bite at the Food Marketplace which is similar to a shopping mall food court. I had some pizza and pasta and it was delicous! If you are looking for a fancier dining experience you can dine at Floyd's which offers Mediterranean influenced dishes. Council Oak is the place for you if you desire steak and seafood. There is also the Pool Bar & Grill, the Green Room, Fresh Harvest, & Rock n Raw.
On most Wednesday nights the Hard Rock has a prize giveaway where you can win a car, jet ski, cash, etc. All you have to do is enter the contest by swiping your players card and go to the center bar if they call your name.
The State of Florida and the Seminole Indian tribe struck a deal to allow the Hard Rock to have vegas style slots and card games. The vegas style slots are already in place which has delighted the slot lovers but the card games are currently on hold due to a lawsuit. The casino has no limit poker which is a big draw. I tried my hand on the poker tables and the poker room was absolutely jam packed with players. It was my first time playing poker and the dealer was very understanding.
The Hard Rock also boasts a world class hotel with some pretty fancy looking rooms. I did not stay in a hotel room but I plan on doing so as soon as possible. My trip to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino was much better than I had anticipated and I will most certainly be back. Here is the link to the Seminole Hard Rock site.

hotels in Crystal River

The Crystal River manatee is a large, gentle sea-mammal that spends the majority of its day eating. In fact, manatee can eat an average of 100-150 pounds of vegetation a day and they spend much of their time in waters that are only 3-7 feet deep; which makes locating and swimming with manatees in Crystal River a fairly easy and enjoyable adventure. The Crystal River manatee are also friendly, slow-moving creatures that are curious by nature, which will provide many opportunities to observe these animals and take pictures while swimming with them.
When you visit Crystal River, swim with the manatees and enjoy yourself, but please...look, but do not touch. there is much debate regarding the effects of human-manatee interactions; largely, this debate has been the result of careless tour guides allowing folks to physically handle the manatee. The manatee are very gentle and they will allow you to get right next to them, but you must resist the temptation to reach out and touch, or feed them. The end result is this, the animals spend more time frequenting areas where humans concentrate, which puts them at risk for propeller injuries, or death and if legislation is passed to prevent interactions, swimming with manatees in Crystal River will no longer be possible for future generations to enjoy. So, please enjoy, take photos and swim along with the manatee, but do not touch them, or prevent them from swimming and surfacing freely. Let's protect them and our ability to interact with them.
If you plan on taking a trip to Crystal River, swimming with the manatees can be done on your own, or you can use one of our professional, affordable tour services that will guide you to the best locations, help you with your experience and some of them also offer pictures and videos of your trip. You may also wish to go diving, kayaking, fishing, or partake in any number of other activities while you are with us. You will also find that we have some great restaurants and a number of hotels to accommodate you, your preferences and budget. So, plan your vacation and make a swim with the Crystal River manatee a top priority, we'll see you soon.

hotel st petersburg

The first beachfront hotel that I booked on-line without previously scoping out ended up being e a very relaxing, quiet and romantic stay for a 4-day get-a-way on beautiful Saint Petersburg Beach. A definite consideration for a small family vacation or a weekend romantic retreat on one of the gulf coasts best beaches. Oh yeah, and quite affordable!
The Beach Haven in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida (FL.) in the Tampa Bay area turned out to be a pleasant surprise. My love and I needed a nice quiet place to go to just get away from the rigors of regular life and to bask in each others embrace. There is no place else like a Florida beach and yet it turned out even better with the small cottage I booked for us at Beach Haven. To think I was going to book a boring, plain and standard looking hotel room for 4 days.
Beach Haven fit the occasion and the bill for what the two of us needed. The room was small but cute. I know, I know, I just said cute! Aside from telling my daughter and my love they are cute, I don't use that word for too many things but sorry, yes, it was cute.
I booked the Deluxe Suite and it was $155 per night (for 2, they charge $10 per person per night extra). That was peak season though. You can book the same room for $115 and $95 a night during off-peak seasons. The deposit was also reasonable at $200. Florida vacationers will enjoy colorful art deco style motels which are romantically pink, a gulf front heated pool and palm trees lining the cottages (throw in some white small bulb Christmas type strung lights down the walkways and in the palms). With all that you still can't resist the spectacular sunsets that are a few footsteps away without having to walk through some 20 story buildings bottom floor parking garage to get there.
Beach Haven is conveniently located on Gulf Boulevard of Saint Petersburg Beach and is close to great shopping, dining and entertainment. You can head over to John's Pass for tons of great shops and restaurants as well as wave runner rentals, dolphin tours, fishing charters, sight seeing tours, a casino cruise and a top St. Pete Beach and Tampa Bay area hot spot, Gators! If you want to experience some of the Saint Petersburg Beach night life, head to Gators which is not your typical club. The club plays, well, at least I feel, great live rock and sometimes heavy music and throws in some booty dancing beats late night and is right on the water which you just can't beat.

hotels in romulus

The Colosseum area virtually defines central Rome, but it is a south central district. This area overflows with history; it was once the center of the Western world. You'll find the Roman Forum and Caesar's Forum when Julie wanted to make a statement. Of course there's the Colosseum itself, home to countless slaughters of people and animals. Once it held lions, now it holds errant pussy cats. At least there are no more slaughters. But you will want to see it, and so you might consider lodging in the neighborhood. The Domus Aurea, the Gold House, was Nero's monument to conspicuous consumption carried to the nth degree. His palace actually covered one third of the city. It was lost for centuries but can and should be seen now. Don't miss the Arch of Constantine, and to see how nature compares with us mere mortals, enjoy the Palatine Hill, preferred by Romulus. As you may well suspect, there is a museum, the Museo Palatino. For your convenience we have listed neighborhood hotels in approximate order of cost, starting with the least expensive. We have personally verified all website addresses making sure that they include English-language pages.
The Bed and Breakfast Santi Quattro al Colosseo is located in an elegant, recently restored 1930s building. Try not to think about who was ruling the roost in 1930s Italy, he did get his due. If you stay here you are close to just about everything that matters in the area, including a restaurant belonging to the same owners. You do get breakfast without having to go for a walk. Every room has a view of the Colosseum. On the other hand, the reception desk is by no means 24/7. There are 4 rooms and 3 apartments. The bed and breakfast address is Via dei Santi Quattro, 64 - 00184 Roma.
The Palazzetto degli Artisti offers double, triple, and quad rooms. The building was constructed around the turn of the century (when the Eighteenth became the Nineteenth century in what was the heart of Ancient Rome near the Colosseum. There are five floors, the top is a terrace from which you can see all that matters and much more. There's an in-suite breakfast. The bed and breakfast address is Via della Madonna dei Monti, 108 - 00184 - Rome.
The four-star Grand Hotel Palatino offers over 200 rooms including several suites and two restaurants, a bar and lounge, and several meeting rooms. There is access for the disabled. The top floor has executive rooms with private balconies. The hotel address is Via Cavour, 213/M - 00184 - Rome.
The five-star Hotel Gladiatori Palazzo Manfredi offers only 17 rooms and some suites so you may have to reserve well in advance. The terrace has been used as a TV and movie set. Florida is one of the most popular states in USA with both tourists and American citizens.
As the fourth most populous state in the country - behind only California, New York and Texas - the "sunshine state" attracts a throng of domestic and international visitors looking to enjoy the warm climate.
Although Florida is a relatively small state - by area - it has one of the most inviting climates and with more coastline than a most of the other states it has a lot to offer to a variety of holiday makers.
As well as the beaches and the surf, Florida has a host of attractions the most famous of all being the Walt Disney World Resort - also called the Magic Kingdom - just outside Orlando.
Opened in 1971, the Magic Kingdom has developed significantly over the years. Now the most visited, as well as the largest, recreational resort in the world, Walt Disney World Resort is made up of four theme parks and two water parks, with 23 themed hotels and a multitude of shopping, eating and recreational venues.
The four theme parks are each represented by an iconic structure and many visitors make a beeline straight to that attraction. The Magic Kingdom has Cinderella Castle, a castle inspired by many French palaces that has a replica in the Tokyo Disney Resort; Epcot has Spaceship Earth, an 18-storey sphere that from the outside looks like a giant golf ball; Disney's Hollywood Studios has the Sorcerer's Hat, an icon that replaced the Earful Tower as the focal point and is now used as a neet and greet area for Disney characters; and Disney's Animal Kingdom has the Tree of Life, a 14-storey artificial tree based on the tree that was home to the Lion King's Rafiki, which has 325 animals carved on the outside.
These resorts are aimed at a family holiday market with a high focus on children's enjoyment. There are, however, also parts of the Magic Kingdom that allow parents to get away from screaming kids and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.
The property houses five golf courses - four 18-hole and one nine-hole course - as well as two themed mini golf courses. Catch-and-release fishing excursions are also offered on a daily basis.
The Walt Disney World Resort has 32 hotels, 23 of which are owned by Disney. International visitors who have arrived on Florida flights to Orlando International Airport who are booked into a Disney hotel can pre-book a seat on Disney's Magical Express that will take guests and, later, their luggage directly to their hotel.

On a scorching hot summer's day in Florida, nothing beats an ice cream cone, drizzled in melt-in-your mouth hot chocolate fudge, caramel, or for the kids at heart, and kids in general - sprinkles. And for those living in or vacationing in Treasure Island, Florida, it's no different. For that reason, we've scoured the southern-most Gulf Beaches of Pinellas to give you the inside 'scoop' on the area's top spots for ice cream!
Larry's
A longtime fixture on St. Pete Beach, Larry's offers the kind of old-fashioned ice cream parlor found in few places these days. Offering over 80 flavors, including frozen yogurt and 10 flavors of no-sugar added and low fat options, as well as 94% fat free gelato, Larry's offers something for everyone, including those watching their waistlines. Your best bet: the Belgian Waffle Sundae or a Peanut Butter Heaven Parfait.
Paradise Sweets
Located in Pass-a-Grille Beach, Paradise Sweets isn't just known for its frozen goodness, but also its coffee, with the rich, bold flavor of espresso creating a truly aromatic experience for patrons. Offering Working Cow ice cream, it's served ultra thick and creamy - just the way you like it. Offering 28 flavors of ice cream and a plethora of unique organic roasted coffees, Paradise Sweets isn't just an ice cream shop - it's your neighborhood coffee shop!
Super Scoops
Located on Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island, this is the place to go to for either a chocolate milkshake or a super-sized banana split! Personally, I prefer the Brownie Sundae, topped with homemade hot fudge. Portions are huge, and it's a family-owned and operated business, so they are more than accommodating to patrons, offering some of the lowest prices on the beach. They also offer low-fat, low sugar options. Voted Best of the Beaches by Beach Life, and it's within walking distance of several Treasure Island Hotels.
Candy Kitchen
Located on the edge of Madeira Beach, not far from some of the quieter Treasure Island Condos is the legendary mom and pop shop Candy Kitchen. Candy Kitchen has been making homemade ice cream and fudge since 1950. My personal favorite is the Butter Pecan or the Space Ice Cream made with marshmallows! Dieting? Not to worry. The Maple Nut flavor is low in calories and is still very delicious. If you want some fudge, try the Homemade Maple Turtle or the Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge. Both are simply delicious! While parking is a bit of a pain, it's a short walk from Treasure Island Condo Hotels. Besides, whoever said taking a leisurely stroll on the beach was a bad thing?By

There are 32 resorts and hotels at Disney World, which are classified into Deluxe, Deluxe Villa, Moderate, Value, and Campground. If you choose to stay in any one of these hotels, you can avail of advantages that those staying in off-premises hotels cannot access such as a total Disney experience, free transportation and special treatment from the Disney staff, Disney Television, and the Extra Magic Hours. And did we mention that you will have a free ride from the airport to the resort with your bags hand-delivered to your room?
Of course, you will want to save on accommodation costs without sacrificing your convenience and comfort while staying in the world's largest resort. Just follow these tips on finding any of the hotels at Disney World and you can save more money to buy more souvenirs, get on more rides and enjoy many more activities.
Know Your Budget
First off, you have to determine your allowable limits for the hotels near Walt Disney World. This way, you can quickly narrow down your choices of hotels and campgrounds with the special discounts and Disney hotel packages in mind. If you are pressed for money and yet still desire to stay within the park, then the rustic-themed 784 campsites and 409 cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are your best bets. If you have more money to spare, then the value-priced resorts of Pop Century, All-Star Movies, All-Star Music and All-Star Sports will provide more comfortable accommodations at a slightly higher price.
If you desire still higher quality accommodations with hotels at Disney World, then opt for the moderately-priced resorts of the Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans Resort French Quarter and the Port Orleans Resort Riverside. All these accommodation options are perfect for groups and families who may be unable to enjoy the deluxe and deluxe villas available elsewhere at Disney World.
Also, keep in mind that the time of the year you decide to visit has a significant bearing on the prices you pay for hotel accommodations. For more affordable prices, visit during the so-called Value Season during the months of January to February and August to October or the small window of November 30 to December 18. The crowds are lesser and the lines are shorter, too, during these times.
Know Your Group
Even when you have settled on the type of accommodations based on budget, you still have to consider the needs and preferences of the group or person you are with. This way, you can protect your money while ensuring that you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Disney World exactly how you envisioned it. For example, if you decided on the value resorts, you must first decide what kind of activities you want to engage in while at Disney World. All the hotels at Disney World cater to specific needs - Pop Century showcases American pop culture, All-Movies caters to Disney movie fanatics, All-Star Music is for devotees of all types of classic music, Caribbean Beach feels like a tropical paradise and so on.
With the right kind of planning, you can find accommodations that will suit your budget, your time, your group and your intended itinerary during your stay at Disney World.

navajo reservation

Navajo National Monument highlights the pleasantly conserved ruins of cliff villages deserted by primeval Pueblo Indians (also known as Anasazi, Kayenta Anasazi, or Hisatsinom) around the 1300s. Constructed and dwelt in for only half a century, the ruins stand for the last community of farmers who settled in to the region's insufficient supply of rain to cultivate yields, nurture households, put together dwellings and then move ahead in a baffling way.
Navajo National Monument lies on the Shonto Plateau, on the junction of Hwy 160 and Hway 564 in the Navajo Nation twenty miles southwestern part of Kayenta in Northern Arizona. From Mexican Water, Highway 160 traverses the Navajo Reservation in the northeastern area of Arizona to Tuba City.
The monument is situated at a dry and hot region but alleviated at an altitude of 7300 ft. Summer nights are quite cold, while winters are so icy with intermittent occurrence of snow.
This presents a visitor center that has video programs and exhibits, picnic place, a relatively small campsite and a couple of short self-guided Mesa summit trails.
The Navajo National Monument is situated at the Navajo Nation reservation. However, the ruins of villages were built by the ancestral Pueblo populace dubbed in the past by the Hopi as Talastima and Hisatsinom prior to the coming of the Navajo in the area.
The Navajo calls the ancestral pueblo group as "Anasazi," which is also the term typically used by many people these days. The Hopi are the progenies of the Hisatsinom and they dwell on a reservation site within the Navajo Nation. It is approximately fifty miles south of the monument.
The Keet Steel and Betatakin are two foremost ruins within the Navajo National Monument accessible to the public. You can arrive at these two places by traveling the land of Navajo Nation. You will need a permit and a Navajo tour guide.
Betatakin is arranged and contained by an incredible sandstone arc that faces south. It provides much needed awning at summer times and sunshine winter seasons, and shade in the summer.
Betatakin tours are conducted daily and are free. Take advantage of the trip as well as the knowledge and expertise of the ranger or tour guide.
It is important to keep in mind that the roundtrip trek can last for 4 to 6 hours and can be very exhausting. People with respiratory or heart troubles are firmly advised not to go on this hiking adventure. The trail starts at 7,300 feet high, goes down, then back at 600 feet high. It is helpful to bring enough water and sport a durable pair of footwear.
The alcove is produced through the crumbling of sandstones. Falling rocks may pose some dangers. This is the main reason why the tours are generally conducted only to the opening of the alcove.
The Keet Seel is the biggest ruin in the State of Arizona. Keet Steel tours require permit from the visitor center. The roundtrip hike on prehistoric trail is 17 miles. You can arrive at the place through horse back or by foot. You cross over streams and trudge rocks and sand hills.By
